Hi,
I've tried out this program and it works for some of my shows, but doesn't seem to work for a few others. I read a few threads in teh forums and not sure what the status is on whether these will work in the future. Some examples are:

World.Series.Of.Poker.s2010e09.HR.HDTV.XviD-AT
world.series.of.poker.2010.e20.hdtv.xvid-fqm
PokerStars.net_Million_Dollar_Challenge_S02E01
PartyPoker_com__The_Big_Game_IV_10.09.30
Full.Tilt.Late.Night.Poker.S02E05

and I think the Daily Show and Colbert. I think their filenames use dates, not epsiodes, since they're daily.
Some of the shows above aren't in the tvdb database yet, but I plan to add them once I know whether they'll be parsed by your program ok, epsiecally things like "PartyPoker_com__The_Big_Game_IV_10.09.30", because this isn't a seasonal show. The current series is the 4th (hence "The Big Game IV").

I think the others can be handled if I just use the 'Force Showname' and other functions within your program.

I found a help screen that explains how it handles years, but I don't know if it applies to my problem:

Renamed Format:
theRenamer works with S1E01 and 1X01 and 101 formats. (season 1, episode 1)

1) S1E01 - S <season number> E <episode number>
2) 1x1 - <season number> x <episode number>
3) 101 - <season number><episode number>

For Numbers only (3), season/episode needs to be 3 or 4 digits only.
Any 4 digits greater than 1969 are considered as a year.

Examples that work:
Heroes.101.avi is assumed to be Heroes Season 1 Episode 1
Heroes-1201.avi is assumed to be Heroes Season 12 Episode 1

30 Rock-101.avi is assumed to be 30 Rock Season 1 Episode 1
90210 2008.101.avi is assumed to be 90210 Season 1 Episode 1

There are a growing number of shows that use the year as the season, but all usually follow one of the following formats:
World.Series.Of.Poker.s2010e09.HR.HDTV.XviD-AT
world.series.of.poker.2010.e20.hdtv.xvid-fqm

The format "World.Series.Of.Poker.s2010e09" would be relatively unambiguous since it uses the "sxxexx" format, only as "sxxxxexx". I don't think this is similar to any other formats. I haven't seen anyone try to use the "101" format in this way, e.g. "201001".

The format "world.series.of.poker.2010.e20" is also unambiguous. Although it omits the season letter 's', the 4-digit value is always followed with ".exx" or "exx" for the episode number.

Any consideration to the above would be great - although I know I'm a poker fan, there are many others, too, and like I said I think the trend in creasing for using "2010" etc. as the season number.

Right now, having year as season is not supported.
Once I'm more free I can look into this.

I've done some support for this.

Based on these filenames (original):
World.Series.Of.Poker.s2009e09.avi
World.Series.Of.Poker.s2009.e09.avi

4 digit seasons will be valid for S/E format. (IMDb and theTVDB only)

IMDb:
The season found is converted to 1. Seems to be listed this way for all years.
http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt1483037/episodes#season-1

theTVDB:
The season found remains 4 digits.
http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=seasonall&id=79028&lid=7

Please wait for next build

I could swear that 4-digit seasons was working now, but for some strange reason it doesn't work for the following:
Aussie Millions.s2011e01.avi
Aussie Millions.s2011e2.avi
etc.

I have about 6 of these and when I drop them all in, the first always returns "!!! UNKNOWN SHOW !!!" and the rest return "!!! EPISODE TITLE MISSING !!!"

Thetvdb has them all listed:
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=80440&seasonid=466203&lid=7

Those entries have been in there for several weeks.

I've tried adding "Aussie Millions" to the database with id 80440 but it doesn't make any difference.
I've tried using thetvdb, imdb, epguides, and TV.com but nothing works.

The app log file shows nothing:

######################## END Session

######################## END Session

######################## END Session

######################## END Session

Update:
It also doesn't work for
National.Heads.Up.Poker.Championship.s2011E04.HDTV.XviD
(http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=84984&seasonid=464104&lid=7)

Fyi,

Also tried it with series "Gumball 3000", which has S2005e01, s2004e01, s2006e01, etc. none of which work.

Same problem with "World.Series.of.Poker.Circuit.s2011e01.HDTV.XViD-AT.avi" - this is in thetvdb as Season 2011 episode 1, but theRenamer returns "!!! EPISODE TITLE MISSING !!!"

Alfred, can you confirm that you did fix this season issue in a previous build as per your earlier post in this thread? I'm running build 7.51.
Here's the log entry:

Code:
Database Site: theTVDB
------------------------------------

F_Start (1)
EPTITLE: C:\Users\Doug\Downloads\Torrents\Complete\TV\World.Series.of.Poker.Circuit.s2011e01.HDTV.XViD-AT.avi

Crop filename to:World.Series.of.Poker.Circuit.s2011e01.
CLEANUP_MYSHOW:World Series of Poker Circuit

s method - MYEPISODE:1

F_checkxml
Matching for:"2011 world series of poker circuit" or Original File's ShowName:"world.series.of.poker.circuit."
TV mode, theTVDB URL: www.thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=seasonall&id=73277&lid=7
F_find_eptitle: World.Series.of.Poker.Circuit.s2011e01.HDTV.XViD-AT.avi !!! EPISODE TITLE MISSING !!!

The strange thing is that it's searching for the wrong tv series on theTVDB - the idcode in the search string above is wrong. For some reason it's looking for id=73277, which is Celebrity Poker Showdown, rather than id=249755. I've tried manually entering World Series of Poker Circuit to the database with id=249755, but the log still shows it searching for id=u73277.

Also, is there a way to remove the suggestion about donating? I sent in $50 a few weeks ago and it would be nice is message didn't politely nag me any more.

Thanks

National.Heads.Up.Poker.Championship.s2011E04.HDTV.XviD.avi
Aussie Millions.s2011e01.avi

Just tested these filenames, and seems to work ok.
Maybe it was just that moment something happened to theTVDB?

"I've tried manually entering World Series of Poker Circuit to the database with id=249755, but the log still shows it searching for id=u73277."
Check your theTVDB database, you could have duplicated entries. Sort by name and check.

Sorry, the donation thing is always there. There's no log in system to know who has donated or not.

Just a small little donation image. Hope you don't mind it.

I've checked things out and tried with a new and simple file name. I've tried a couple of things to isolate and simply the issue to make it easier to debug.

It appears that for some reason theRenamer is using the wrong search string for the episode.

The filename is "World Series of Poker.s2011e13.avi". This episode and season exists in thetvdb.org: http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=79028&seasonid=469782&lid=7

FYI, In my theRenamer database, I have both "World Series of Poker" and "World Series of Poker Circuit" entries, with their correct thetvdb ID's of 79028 and 249755 respectively. (After this test I removed both entries to see if that matters; results further below) I also have "World Series of Poker Europe" (244141) in the database as well.

Here's the log. Note that the correct series is "World Series of Poker" but it's searching thetvdb.org with ID 249755, which is "World Series of Poker Circuit":

Database Site: theTVDB
------------------------------------

F_Start (1)
EPTITLE: \\MOFO\Audio Video Media\TV\World Series of Poker\Season 2011\World Series of Poker.s2011e13.avi
TV Keyword Used:nil
Crop filename to:World Series of Poker.s2011e13.avi
CLEANUP_MYSHOW:World Series of Poker
s method - MYSEASON:2011
s method - MYEPISODE:13

F_checkxml
Matching for:"2011 world series of poker" or Original File's ShowName:"world series of poker."
TV mode, theTVDB URL: www.thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=seasonall&id=249755&lid=7
F_find_eptitle: World Series of Poker.s2011e13.avi !!! EPISODE TITLE MISSING !!!

F_PreProceed

F_Dev

F_End
######################## END Session

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To check things further, I downloaded the latest theRenamer 7.51 and deleted the two entries in the database for WSOP and WSOPC, and re-ran it on the same file name. It again doesn't find "World Series of Poker." (sic) on thetvdb.org, and then again tries using the WSOP Circuit ID of 249755 to find the episode. Perhaps it's failing because of the period in the Original File's showname?

Looks like there's many similar names, so using database to force it is better than google guessing it.

Can you post an example filename, and the IDcode you set for it in theTVDB database?
