Hi there,

IMDb has changed something. Nowadays, they localize (translate) most series and movie titles according to your IP-guessed location (see this thread:http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000040/thread/171682108).
That gives me only bullshit titles with the renamer. PLEASE, change this within renamer to akas.imdb.com, which always brings up the original titles, which is the only thing interesting after all. At least, make it an option.
Thanks for a great piece of software, which I use everyday.

Looks like 9 pages of complaints about the change.
I too think it's a bad move.

Here's an example "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".
With the change, the default name is now "Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo".

Please comment your views in that page comments.

BWT, it's not a localize issue.
IMDb has chosen to set the Original Movie Name where the film originated in as default.

I actually think it is a localization thing.

I live in Germany and I get the german titles for shows like CSI or Quantum Leap and I am more than just pretty sure those are not german shows

I registered with IMDB and had to set my site preferences there to US. But therenamer still uses the german names.

Just wanted to let you know in case that changes something with your upcoming fix.

I've not changed anything on for tv shows (IMDb), only for Movies.
I can say that theRenamer will not use your IMDb account to log in before querying.

I'll try to post a beta release soon, and let's what is fixed or broken.

Just tried the beta and still not working for TV Shows.

Tried "Quantum Leap" and got "Zurück in die Vergangenheit".

I only did it for Movies. Will look into it this weekend.

Does movie names work properly? Using with and without the Original Name (akas.imdb option).
If so, I'll just follow the same way.

Since it's a localized thing, I can't test other languages from where i am.

Don't have any movies so I cannot comment on the changes for movies.
