(continued from http://www.therenamer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=228)

Attempting to support filenames that has multiple episodes.

Accepted Input:???
Yet to decide. Please help post some filenames that have multiple episode.
Eg: Lost.S05E16E17.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv

Output: (Using dash to seperate episode number)
Showname.S05E01-02.* (Eg:Deadliest Catch.S05E01-02.avi)
Showname.1x01-02.* (Eg:Deadliest Catch.1x07-08.avi)
Showname.301-02.* (Eg:Deadliest Catch.301-02.avi)

Renamed formats works with XBMC. Renamed multi episode filename generates 2 listing.

This is exactly what I've been waiting for thanks for implementing this feature
as for the seperator I'd like it to be configuable ie. To use _ (underscores)
and for episode title I think just the 1 would be enough as this won't be a problem for people using media centers eg. xbmc or mediaportal as the scrapers get the episode titles

Please comment.... I haven't done anything yet, still waiting.

Oh, I mean the original filenames (before renaming).
Need to know what are the possible (or more common) formats to recognize before renaming.

Also, not sure if I can support number format (0101, 101).
Reason is numbers are like dates... so showname.0101.01.25.2009.avi would be tricky to sort out.

Here's some I've found:

Lost.S05E16E17.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv
Lost.S06E01-E02.HDTV.XviD-2HD.9231.DedicatedTV.net.mkv
FlashForward.S01E11E12.PROPER.HDTV.XviD-P0W4.5381.DedicatedTV.net.mkv
FlashForward.S01E11-E12.REPACK.720p.HDTV.x264-2HD.67f3.mkv

I'll keep searching for episodes with different examples...

MultiEpisode will support Numbers and Absolute Numbers too!
Only AirDates will not be supported for MultiEpisode filenames.

Due to the parsing TheRenamer can get confused and think it's a multipart episode when it is not. I have my Multipart seperate as "E" so some times if I have an episode that is something like
"Bleach S03E12.Everything.mkv"

If this was run against the renamer it would turn it into "Bleach S03E12E.mkv" thinking that it is multipart. Possibly make it so that if it thinks it's multipart, but does not find a number then it does not actually add the separator.
