Never had issues in the past until today when catching up on a few missing episodes of the US series.

Basically, the US series is scraping fine except omits the (US) portion of the title which it use to always include. ie. "Being Human (US) - S01E01 - Episode.avi"

Checked TVDB and it still shows (US) in the name, so tried manual scraping with the ID Code, same thing. It's the right series, title names match so not scraping UK in error.

So, I tried the UK episodes, which I scraped months ago successfully... and it's pulling up the US titles, if I manually scrape with ID Code, it says episode title missing.

TVDB checked and resaved the two series and refreshed... I tried again but same issue.

Not certain if a TVDB issue, or problem with TheRenamer. Any ideas? Thanks

*** EDIT: Actually, just tried "Merlin (2008)" which now scrapes as "Merlin" and omits (2008)... seems that I'm having a few issues, especially shows that have brackets in the name.

Ok... downloaded a program called FileBot which does basically what TheRenamer does (except slow and awkward to use) and tested Being Human and Merlin, and scrapes just fine so, must be a TheRenamer issue.

Can anyone else test/confirm?

Just tried Ink Masters, which tried to auto scrap to LA Ink, so manually scraped it using 254986, TVDB number, and says episode name missing.

Uninstalled TheRenamer, deleted the folder from My Documents, ran an install of the current release and same issues. Can anyone help? Looks like if the show wants to autoscrape as something else, manual scraping causes it to not find anything at all. Trying to clean up my database this long weekend but, not having much luck.

Using FileBot for now... works but would rather use TheRenamer if it works.

I've got the exact same problem with the show 'House M.D.'

I have tried renaming the files to:
House
House MD
House M.D.
73255

I have had no luck. Every time I run the search it comes up saying, "Episode Title Missing".

I am going to try the other program you have mentioned until the problem is fixed. Thanks.

I had the same issue with RULES OF ENGAGEMENT... and I even made a post on this forum, regarding this but got NO replies or answers.

I believe the issue is in theRenamer.. possibly some syntax error. When I switch from theTVDB.com as a database, to EpGuides.com (?)... No Problem. Please refer to my post, for any further explanation. I don't know if the programmer is reading these posts or not.

Def with TheRenamer... TVDB resaved/refreshed Being Human (US) for me on the offchance that was the issue, but didn't work plus had a few other instances after.

Tried FileBot and some other program (forget the name already) and both scraped just fine.

Odd part is, it simply just stopped scraping properly for a few shows that it always worked for in the past, and I didn't update my version or anything between when it worked and when it failed.

I've deleted the program and preferences etc, updated to the latest version and just certain series won't work anymore. FileBot is working but, not near as good as TheRenamer does... but for now I have to use it if I want to update my files. Unfortunately, I've seen a few similar posts, and just posts in general with 0 responses so, looks like I'll probably be using FileBot longer than I would like.

... any word on this issue? Downloaded the current version today and tried again, same prob still.
